You know how I like to do makeup tests for Halloween? (I did a wig test and a line test waaay before the day itself for my Lichtenstein Ben-Day dots pop art girl makeup and posted the results here.) Well, I couldn’t help myself. I did half my face just now.
Just with my fingers. I patted on MAC Pro Longwear Eyeshadow in Weathered all over the right side of my face, contoured around the eyes and under the cheekbones with a darker blue from a Smashbox palette, and then haphazardly ringed around the eyes with Majolica Majorca cream pencil liner in black. I’m wearing MAC Potent Fig on my lips, but it’s a deep blue-violet, so I patted Weathered over it to make it blend in better.
Took all of 10 minutes, tops. Maybe even less. (Horrendous Photoshop job on that acid yellow eye not included, of course.)
It’s not as pigmented as I want, though. (But then I didn’t layer too heavily since it was just a test anyway.) And you can’t really see it in the photo, but it’s a bit shimmery because Weathered has a slight shimmer to it. I need it to be matte. So I’m still going to check Temptu Pro to see if their blue corrector is dark enough (maybe I can mix in a little black), and Make Up For Ever to see if they have a deeper blue, and that liquid latex I need for creating the scales.
God, I love doing this stuff. It’s so fun.
MUTANT AND PROUD, BABY.
now this is what i call astig.
